Along the highway he came
 The old dark skinned sage
Clad in saffron and a cap
With a plume and red lace
The big sack on his back
 He was chanting some words
Stopped a while in my gate
Saw me and took my hands
And went on his journey
 Passed meadows and valleys
At last reached an ugly hut
Where I saw so many girls
What is inside I wondered
 Peeped through the window
Shocked to see a little boy
With a burnt face and neck
Woke up with a loud scream
I was still in my soft bed
Was a nightmare I never forget.
