Mother
There lies the unconditional love
In the heart of the mother,so kind
The child loves her as she fed it
With love and care no doubt
The adolescent quarrelled always
Cursed her for she was poor
She tried to convince but in vain
After a decade she grew old
grandchild loved her for a while
As she knew endless fairy tales
Mother fell ill and was a burden
As she gave birth to a brilliant one
who was busy with his schedules
One day mother passed away
Silently she flew to the heaven
The son lamented with tears
I should have cared my mother
The wise old man in the village
Told him life is full "should haves"

Passions
I should have a pair of wings
To fly beyond seven oceans
Towards the Elysian shores
Where I can meet Him
Capable of telling me the meaning
Of life and death,so intelligent
To differentiate good and evil
Cherish all dreams that perish
He can take me in his vehicle
Obviously without wheels
Through the darkcaves there
Towards the ever lasting glitter
Where I ever wished to go.
To fly beyond seven oceans
Towards the Elysian shores
Where I can meet Him
Capable of telling me the meaning
Of life and death,so intelligent
To differentiate good and evil
Cherish all dreams that perish
He can take me in his vehicle
Obviously without wheels
Through the darkcaves there
Towards the ever lasting glitter
Where I ever wished to go.

The Old Rat
The old rat,ran here and there
Made labyrinthine paths
Gnawed the roots of the big tree
Beneath which it lived safely
Came out to have the ripe fruits
But never was thankful for its food
The poor old tree was unaware of
Its weakening root system
Gave shade and shelter to all
One dark night,a hurricane came
The tree fell down with roots up
The rat was safe for it had escaped
Through the long path it had made
The rat told the world "Iam not the culprit"
The roots could not support such a big tree.
It should have a strong root system.
The old rat,ran here and there
Made labyrinthine paths
Gnawed the roots of the big tree
Beneath which it lived safely
Came out to have the ripe fruits
But never was thankful for its food
The poor old tree was unaware of
