flower

I walked as in a trans along the siloughtted beach

alone wandered the little girl ,the flower seller

Nobody except stray dogs and streetsmarts

The tantalising waves roared to frighten them

The garlands in her hands so fragrant and fresh

Only a few she could sell, what to do with the rest?

The flowers should have more lifespan, she thought

Until she sold it out,But a plucked flower has no life

Because it has been separated from its mother.

Plight

The sea gulls flew swiftly ,I was alone
The sea looked like a picture.
The undulating waves touched my poetic fancy
I was unable to think and concentrate.
The sea rocked the little canoe like a baby in the cradle.
The setting sun reminded of a dear one departed
Griefstricken I wiped my face with the tissue
The beams were golden but it failed to add a hue
The sea was as dark as ever but reflected the shining sun.
The beach grew dark and people turned behind
They cherish the sweet moments with the sea.
The strumpet crawled out of her nook
She dared not to step out in the day
Smell of cheap perfumes filled the air
Two pairs of eyes followed her .
For she was their beloved one
She disappeared out of sight beyond the beach
A pair of grey running eyes closed with a sigh
Ugly with the leftovers of an early supper
The kitchen slept to dream a lunch so nice
The rags and the torn clothes in the corner
Had a lot to tell but nobody to hear
For it was the dwelling of a cheap prostitute.
A heavy hand slapped me on my back
My friend asked why Iam here
He was eager to lead me to our room
Or I would be in great trouble
How careful my friend in my affairs
I thought of a slight care and love that lacked
Which took the poor woman to the cruel world

agony

The Tired traveller sat in a shade
Green canopy over his head
The little bird in the nest
Chirped to show its there
He couldn't see the ripe fruits
Mirage tempted him to rise
And go on with all his might
Towards it ,he was thirsty
Ran as fast as he could
Failed to reach there he fell down
Nobody there to hear his cry
Poor old traveller waited for a chariot!

Eternal Bliss

Eternal Bliss
Run as fast as you can….Shouted the old wizard
Aching heels and throbbing heart! she could’nt move
The weiry traveller, ,fuming brain and bleeding throat
Singing her swan song in a feeble voice ,the desert so hot!
Saw a pool ahead, bare footed pulled her heavy legs
Found no water there for it was a mirage in the desert
The wise man followed her but was calm with a smile
Pointed out a small tree with leafy branches in the wilderness
Lead her to the shadow where she lay down for a while
Narrated her miserable story to the old man ,she remained
Until the hot sun disappeared behind the red curtain
Went on with her journey ,the poor lady walked alone
Lingering memories of her good old days but faded ones
At last reached the river so wide, nobody could swim across
The ferryman was greedy , she had no money in hand
Alone she stood there in the banks of the river
Longing for another ferry to take her away
To the sweet shores far beyond the rippling river
Where she is not alone and will get the eternal bliss

To all Mothers

Mother
There lies the unconditional love
In the heart of the mother,so kind
The child loves her as she fed it
With love and care no doubt
The adolescent quarrelled always
Cursed her for she was poor
She tried to convince but in vain
After a decade she grew old
grandchild loved her for a while
As she knew endless fairy tales
Mother fell ill and was a burden
As she gave birth to a brilliant one
who was busy with his schedules
One day mother passed away
Silently she flew to the heaven

The son lamented with tears
I should have cared my mother
The wise old man in the village
Told him life is full "should haves"
